Questions
How does Country Shape Quiz work?
Choose the country whose largest mainland polygon matches the silhouette. Rotation and proportions follow the source map; islands and overseas parts are omitted from this silhouette mode.
Where is progress stored?
Current rounds and best results stay in this browser when local storage is available. Returning directly to this game restores progress paused. Hidden tabs pause; refresh, closing a tab and exporting do not clear a game save. These games never automatically open from the homepage.
Where do maps, capitals and flags come from?
Maps use locally simplified public-domain Natural Earth 5.1.2 data; flags use pinned MIT flag-icons 7.5.0 SVGs. Coverage is 204 ISO-coded countries and areas, with 189 reviewed capital entries, and exactly 50 US states. Regional classification follows the source, including Russia in Europe and Türkiye in Asia. Tiny islands have the list alternative. Selected outdated capital labels are corrected; entries awaiting review are excluded from capital questions.
Are answers or typed text uploaded?
No. Gameplay, entered text and answers are local. There is no game account, multiplayer server, external map API or upload; private game contents are not sent to analytics.
