Box or paint an object, press Remove, and the background is rebuilt where it was.
- Choose a photo.
- Drag a box around the object (or switch to Brush).
- Press Remove and compare before and after.
- Download JPG or PNG.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The photo is decoded, analysed and edited inside your browser. The only download is the model itself, once, from Pevlika; after that it loads from your browser cache.
How does the removal work?
Content-aware fill: the marked area is rebuilt, from coarse to fine, out of the most similar patches in the surrounding photo (PatchMatch). It works best on backgrounds such as sky, grass, walls, sand and water.
What works best?
Objects on fairly regular backgrounds. Mark slightly beyond the object’s edge and its shadow; for large areas remove in a few smaller steps.
