- Review the local score, restart the same seed, or choose a fresh original game. Returning here restores the saved run paused.
Questions
How do I play Road Crossing?
Arrows/WASD, direction buttons or swipes move a traveler one grid cell. A canvas tap advances upward. Green bands at rows 1, 5, 9 and 12 are safe; traffic crosses the other rows in alternating directions. Reach the top for 100 points and a faster new crossing. Three lives; a collision returns you to the bottom with brief protection.
Are these original visuals and levels?
Yes. All shapes, palettes, courses, enemy movement and layouts are locally drawn or generated by original code. No arcade ROMs, commercial levels, branded characters, copied audio or remote asset packs are used.
How do pause and recovery work?
The current run is saved locally during play and on pause when browser storage is available. Refresh or returning directly to this route restores the run paused. Hidden tabs and window focus loss pause automatically. Games never automatically open from the homepage, and New game or Restart asks before replacing an unfinished run.
What accessibility controls are available?
Play controls are semantic buttons and the focused canvas supports the documented keys. Scores, lives and progress have text summaries. You can reduce game pace, pause anytime, and use full screen with a visible exit. Reduced motion removes decorative animation; real-time gameplay still requires visual movement and timing.
Are scores or game history uploaded?
No. Runs and high scores stay in this browser. No account, server session or upload is needed, and game history is never sent to analytics. Sound uses a quiet local oscillator only after you opt in and start play.
