Questions
Which Batak rules are used?
İhaleli Batak for four individual players with 52 cards, 13 each. Bidding starts at the dealer’s right: each player calls once, 5 to 13 tricks and higher than the last call, or passes; if everyone passes, the dealer’s right must take 4. The declarer names trump and leads. Follow suit; when void any card may be played, but a trump played onto a trick that already holds trump must beat it when possible. Trump cannot be led until a trump has been played, unless the leader holds only trumps. The declarer scores 10 × bid plus overtricks when made and −10 × bid when set; every other player scores 1 per trick. Twelve hands make a game; the highest total wins.
How do online hands stay private and fair?
Each browser adds its own encryption layer to the shuffle, and only a card’s holder removes the last layer, so neither the other players nor the server see your hand or the stock. Played cards carry decryption proofs. Claims that depend on hidden cards — following suit, drawing, Go, knocking, red threes or passing — are checked after every hand: all keys are revealed and each browser replays the original rules before points count, and a disproved claim voids the match. This is not an independently audited zero-knowledge shuffle; a player who withholds a key or leaves stops the hand without a result.
How strong is the computer?
The computer uses local, simple legal heuristics. It is not an expert opponent, and all computation runs in this browser.
Is my card game uploaded?
Computer and local multiplayer run on your device. Online multiplayer sends legal actions and chat directly between WebRTC peers. The server handles discovery and initial connection signals only. Private game data stays on its owner’s browser; public snapshots and commitments replicate to peers. No account is required.
How does saved progress work?
This route restores its own validated saved deal and recent undo history when browser storage is available. New deal and restart ask before replacing progress. Normal card games never automatically open from the homepage. Clear site data to remove local saves.
Can I undo computer turns?
Computer play follows the documented legal variant. Undo is available for practice and pauses the computer until you resume.
Which player modes are available?
Choose Computer or Online Multiplayer. Online rooms support invitation codes, public discovery and peer chat. Invite opens a short connection window; reopen it for new arrivals or a reloaded tab. Restricted networks may not connect without a relay.
