No. Web Audio synthesis and pitch analysis stay on your device. Only the tuner uses a microphone, after you press Start and grant browser permission.

What are the limitations?

A repeating 16-step pattern, 30–240 BPM and four synthesized drum voices. The scheduler pauses when hidden instead of attempting background playback.
