Does this record or upload audio?

No. Web Audio synthesis and pitch analysis stay on your device. Only the tuner uses a microphone, after you press Start and grant browser permission.

What are the limitations?

Simple triangle-wave synthesis, up to 12 simultaneous voices. Sustain holds released notes until turned off; octave controls span C2–C6. It is not a sampled acoustic piano.
