How to use DXF Viewer

  1. Open an ASCII DXF, up to 10 MB / 50,000 entities.
  2. Toggle layers and use drag/wheel or zoom buttons to inspect the drawing.
  3. Fit drawing, inspect bounds and download a PNG.

Questions

Does it support DWG or every DXF entity?

No. It supports LINE, straight LWPOLYLINE/POLYLINE, CIRCLE, ARC and basic TEXT. Binary DXF, DWG, INSERT blocks, bulges, splines, dimensions and 3D solids are unsupported and omitted.

Are dimensions exact?

Bounds use supported XY geometry, in drawing units; INSUNITS is displayed. Text bounds are approximate. Unsupported entities can change the overall extents; this is not a CAD replacement.

Is the drawing uploaded?

No. Parsing, rendering and PNG export stay in your browser; filenames and geometry never enter analytics.
