How to use JavaScript Playground

A scratchpad for modern JavaScript with a developer-style console — no page to break, nothing installed.

  1. Write code or load an example.
  2. Press Run (Ctrl+Enter).
  3. Read the output and fix errors.
  4. Share a link, download the file or keep the draft in this browser.

Questions

Can I use the DOM?

This playground runs in a Web Worker, so there is no page. Use the HTML, CSS & JS Editor to work with document and elements.

Is await allowed at the top level?

Yes. Your code runs inside an async function, so top-level await, promises and timers work; the run ends when pending timers finish.

Is my code uploaded?

No. It runs in your browser and drafts are saved only in this browser. Share links keep the code in the part of the URL after #, which browsers never send to a server.
