How to use PDF to Word

Turn a PDF into a Word document you can edit: paragraphs, headings, lists and emphasis are rebuilt as real text.

  1. Choose or drop a PDF.
  2. Check the preview of the recognised text.
  3. Pick editable text or exact look.
  4. Download the .docx file.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The converter runs in your browser: your file is read, converted and saved on this device. It works offline once the page and converter have loaded.

Will it look exactly like the PDF?

Editable text keeps paragraphs, headings, bold, italic, lists and centred lines, but PDFs do not store columns or tables as text, so complex layouts flow as plain paragraphs. Choose “Exact look” to keep every page as a picture instead.

What about scanned PDFs?

A scan has no text inside, so its pages are added as pictures. Run OCR PDF first to get editable text.

Is there a size limit?

Files up to 100 MB and PDFs up to 200 pages. Split larger PDFs first with Split PDF.
