Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The converter runs in your browser: your file is read, converted and saved on this device. It works offline once the page and converter have loaded.

What does it support?

Paragraph and character styles, headings, bold, italic, underline, colours, alignment, indents, bulleted and numbered lists, tables with shading, pictures and page breaks. Charts, SmartArt, text boxes and equations are listed if they are left out.

Why does the font look different?

Fonts are replaced with Liberation Sans, which has the same character widths as Arial and Helvetica. Lines can break slightly differently from Word when the document uses another font.

Can I convert .doc files?

Only .docx. Open an older .doc file in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.
