How to use Pixel Art Editor
- Choose canvas/settings or import local PNG, JPEG or WebP sources. The current project is kept if an import fails.
- Use the focused workspace, touch controls and bounded settings. Review the live preview.
- Export locally. Edits save durable recovery; returning to this app restores it.
Questions
How does Pixel Art Editor work?
Choose 8, 16, 32 or 64 square cells or custom 1–128 dimensions. Pencil, eraser, connected fill, eyedropper, palette, horizontal mirror, grid and twenty undo/redo steps share one pixel model. PNG is transparent and uses nearest-neighbor upscaling.
Where does my work go?
Images and projects stay browser-local in IndexedDB and, for larger sources, OPFS. Meaningful edits autosave; unchanged image blobs are content-deduplicated. Recovery expires after 24 hours without edits, pressure cleanup protects active projects, and these creator apps restore only on their own routes. Navigation offers Stay, Leave & keep, or Leave & delete; deletion must succeed before navigation. Refresh, crashes, closing the browser and downloads retain recovery.
