How to use Pevlika Rooms
- Choose a guest name and create a meeting, or join with an invitation. Camera and microphone start off.
- The invitation stays valid while anyone is in the room, so guests can join at any time. Share the link or QR code from Invite.
- Turn on your microphone or camera, select devices, or share your screen. One participant can share at a time.
- Use the participant panel and room chat. Keep this tab open to stay connected.
Questions
Are meetings routed through Pevlika?
No. Pevlika handles initial discovery and connection signals. Audio, video, messages and room coordination travel directly between peers using WebRTC. No meeting recording is made.
Will every network connect?
No. A public STUN service helps discover network addresses; no TURN or media relay is provided. Restrictive firewalls and some mobile networks cannot establish direct links. Try a different network.
Does the host own the room?
No. The room owner and moderators control permissions. The technical host coordinates shared actions and can migrate to another connected peer. Existing media links remain in place. Changes pause if too few peers remain for safe consensus.
How many people can join?
Capacity depends on each device and connection. Direct mesh calls send a separate stream to every peer, so upload and CPU use grow with attendance. Camera quality adapts; voice and readable screen sharing receive priority.
Are calls end-to-end encrypted?
WebRTC encrypts each transport connection. Pevlika has not implemented or independently verified an additional application-level E2EE protocol. Share invitations only with people you trust.
