How long should a title tag be?
Google truncates titles by pixel width — about 580–600 px on desktop, roughly 50–60 characters. Put the most important words first.
How long should a meta description be?
Around 150–160 characters (about 920 px on desktop). Google may show a different snippet if it thinks another part of the page matches the query better.
Will Google always use my title?
Not always. Google may rewrite titles that are too long, stuffed with keywords or don’t match the page. A clear, accurate title is usually kept.
