How to use XML Sitemap Generator

No. It builds the sitemap from the URLs you paste. Export your page list from your CMS, analytics or a crawler, then paste it here.

Are changefreq and priority used by Google?

Google ignores changefreq and priority but does use an accurate lastmod. Other search engines may read all three.

How many URLs can one sitemap have?

Up to 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed. For larger sites, split the list into several sitemaps and list them in a sitemap index.
