How do I write page ranges?

Separate pages and ranges with commas: “1-3, 5, 9-” means pages 1 to 3, page 5, and page 9 to the end. Pages are numbered from 1.

What is the difference between “Extract pages” and “Split by ranges”?

“Extract pages” puts all the pages you list into one new PDF. “Split by ranges” creates a separate PDF for each range you enter.
