Questions

What is a typical voice frequency?

Speaking pitch is usually around 85–180 Hz for lower voices and 165–255 Hz for higher voices; harmonics extend into several kHz.

Why does the pitch jump around?

Pitch is only detected for clear, steady sounds. Noise, whispering or chords have no single pitch, so the reading pauses.

Is the audio recorded?

No. The sound is analysed live in your browser and never stored or uploaded.
