Questions
Dead, stuck or hot pixel — what’s the difference?
A dead pixel stays black on every colour. A stuck pixel shows one colour (often red, green or blue) all the time. A hot pixel stays white or bright on a black screen.
Can a stuck pixel be fixed?
Sometimes it recovers on its own or with gentle pressure through a soft cloth while the screen is off. Dead pixels usually can’t be fixed — check the warranty’s pixel policy.
How do I check backlight bleed?
Use the black screen in a dark room: light leaking along the edges is backlight bleed, which is common on LCDs to some degree.
