Questions
Will optimisation change how it looks?
Normally not. Lower precision (0–1 decimals) can shift tiny details, so check the side-by-side preview; 2–3 decimals is safe for most icons.
What is removed?
Comments, the XML prolog, editor data from Inkscape, Illustrator, Sketch and similar, empty groups, unused IDs, default attributes and extra whitespace.
Is it as thorough as SVGO?
It covers the biggest, safest savings without heavy tools. For complex path merging you can still run SVGO afterwards.
