How to use Angle Finder
Stand the phone on its long edge against a surface. Read its angle from level, or capture two surfaces to measure the angle between them.
- Press Start and allow motion access.
- Hold the phone’s long edge against the first surface and tap “Capture first”.
- Move it to the second surface and tap “Capture second” to read the angle between them.

- Readings come straight from your device’s sensors and stay on this device. Phone sensors are approximate; use a dedicated instrument where accuracy matters.
Questions
What is the miter angle?
To join two boards meeting at an angle, each is usually cut at half of the angle between them. The finder shows that half angle as the miter cut.
Which edge should touch the surface?
Keep the screen facing you and rest the phone’s long edge on the surface. Avoid camera bumps touching it.
