Questions
Is my text or search sent anywhere?
No. Words are looked up in dictionary files your browser downloads, and checking runs on your device. Searches live in the address bar after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server.
Which spelling is used — US or UK?
Both are accepted: “colour” and “color”, “organise” and “organize”. Proper nouns in the middle of a sentence and acronyms in capitals are skipped.
Can I add my own words?
Yes. “Add to dictionary” remembers a word on this device only.
