When to choose PNG

PNG is lossless, so text, charts and slide content stay crisp with no compression artefacts. Use 150 DPI for screens and 300 DPI for print or zooming in. For scanned photos, PDF to JPG gives much smaller files.

How to use PDF to PNG

  1. Choose a PDF file.
  2. Pick JPG or PNG and a resolution. 150 DPI suits screens; 300 DPI suits print.
  3. Optionally enter the pages to convert.
  4. Click “Convert to images”. Several pages download as a ZIP.

PNG or JPG — which is better for PDFs?

PNG keeps text and line art perfectly sharp but files are larger. JPG is much smaller and better for scanned photos.
