How to use OBJ Viewer

  1. Open a model; for glTF, select local buffers/textures with the .gltf file.
  2. Orbit with drag, zoom with wheel/pinch and pan with right-drag or two fingers.
  3. Choose camera/view/units, inspect bounds and download a PNG screenshot.

Example: Open a small OBJ fixture to inspect finite bounds and switch between front, top and side views.

Questions

Do models leave my browser?

No. Models, buffers, textures, geometry and screenshots stay local. External glTF resource URLs are blocked; select local companion files together.

Are STL dimensions always millimeters?

No. STL, OBJ and PLY are unitless; choose assumed mm, inches or meters. glTF uses meters and 3MF declares its units.

Is the STL watertight check conclusive?

No. Quantized edge matching is a heuristic, limited to 100,000 triangles. It does not prove watertightness or rule out self-intersections. Volume is shown as an estimate only when this edge check finds no open/non-manifold edges.
